The Geology, Quaternary Geology programme from Lund University covers nearly all aspects of Quaternary geology, for example glacial sedimentology and geomorphology, geochronology and dating techniques, palaeoclimatology, glaciation history, marine geology and palaeoceanography palaeoecology, palaeolimnology and palaeoenvironmental analysis techniques.

Overview

The Geology, Quaternary Geology programme from Lund University aims at providing students with a wide range of geological knowledge, exposure to areas at the cutting edge of research, and a thorough understanding of the practical applications of Quaternary geology. Four 15-credit courses form the basis of the programme:

  • Bachelor s degree of at least 180 credits in geology or the equivalent. The degree must include at least 90 credits in geology. Proficiency in English equivalent to English 6/B from Swedish upper-secondary school.
  • Based on grades awarded for previous academic courses and a statement of purpose for the application (from the applicant s Summary sheet ).
