Overview

You will become part of a new generation of postgraduate experts selected from around the world to enhance sport federations with expertise in ethics and integrity.

Over the Sports Ethics and Integrity programme from Swansea University you will be equipped with the skills and knowledge required for high-level careers in sports administration and governance, with a focus on ethical sports, integrity and compliance.

With the sporting world increasingly facing ethical problems - from corruption and match-fixing to child protection, doping and illegal betting - this could be one of the few chances to meaningfully respond.

Career opportunities

The MAiSI graduates will benefit from opportunities to undertake practical placements within the partner’s extensive network of advisory bodies, federations, policy-makers and commercial organisations, as well as from extensive international collaboration and training opportunities.

Programme Structure

Courses include:

  • Your training will enable you to identify ethical issues, engage in moral thinking, and translate decisions into moral actions – the three core skills required to develop sports integrity.
  • You will develop an ethical mindset and a set of transferable skills that are key to addressing value and integrity issues facing sporting federations and bodies such as national Olympic Committees and Paralympic Committees.
  • Placement opportunities available within advisory bodies, federations, policymakers and commercial organisations will prove valuable to your experience.
