For those interested, the Louisiana State University Master of Business Administration/ Jurist Doctor programme offers a dual degree program with the LSU Paul M. Hebert Law Center in which students can earn a JD/MBA in four years.

About

The JD/MBA dual degree program is designed for students who intend to earn both a Juris Doctor degree and an MBA concurrently. Degrees are offered through the Paul M. Hebert Law Center and the E. J. Ourso College of Business at LSU. Students earn overlapping credit hours and complete both degrees in four years versus completing them separately in five years (3 years for a JD and 2 years for an MBA).

General Requirements

Regular Admission to the LSU Graduate School requires: 
  •  a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university; 
  • a minimum 3.0 (on a 4.0 scale) grade-point average (GPA) for all undergraduate work taken prior to receiving a degree and a minimum 3.0 GPA for all previous graduate work for which a grade is given;  satisfactory academic standing at the last institution attended; 
  •  acceptable scores on the Graduate Record Exam (GRE); and 
  •  acceptance into a departmental program.
