Our master of science degree in Nursing at Upstate Medical University SUNY educates registered nurses with bachelor's degrees to work as nurse practitioners. The program also prepares nurses for roles in leadership, consulting, education and research. Students studying to become nurse practitioners choose from three tracks: family, family psychiatric mental health or pediatric.

If either of these courses was taken more than five years ago, an advisor will discuss the possi­bility of taking a refresher course to update your skills.
