The Master of Arts in Teaching Program in Subject Area and Teacher of Students with Disabilities is a program designed to provide graduate students with a master's degree as well as dual certification: initial certification to teach in a subject area (P-12) and certification to teach students with disabilities in those settings.

Overview

Montclair State University’s Teacher Education Program is one of the most highly-regarded teacher preparation programs in the country. The program is considered a model for other colleges and universities and has continuously been accredited by the National Council for the Accreditation of Teacher Education (NCATE) since 1954.

The Teacher Education Program’s professional course sequence and field experiences emphasize teaching for critical thinking and culturally responsive teaching. The professional component for both graduate students addresses four broad areas:

    GMAT admission requirements GMAT The Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT) is a test intended to assess certain analytical, writing, quantitative, verbal, and reading skills in written English for use in admission to a graduate management program, such as an MBA. GMAT contains 4 sections - Analytical Writing Assessment, Integrated Reasoning, Quantitative and Verbal. The score has a range from 200 - 800.
