The programme

  • Our goal is to ensure that all children are valued, active participants in a diverse, democratic and inclusive society. Our emphasis on field-based experiences is threaded throughout the program so candidates receive first-hand opportunities to translate research and theory into practice. 
  • Inclusive Education, Elementary Education (K-6) Teachers-Teacher of Students with Disabilities Concentration at the Montclair State University is designed for candidates who are already certified in Early Childhood or Elementary Education and want to obtain both the Teacher of Students with Disabilities (TSD) certification and a master’s degree in Inclusive Education.

  • Letters of Recommendation: Two.
  • Students holding degrees from non-US institutions must request a course-by-course transcript evaluation from a member of the National Association of Credential Evaluation Services or by Educated Choices. TOEFL (Test of English as a foreign language), IELTS (International English Language Testing System) or Duolingo English Test are required for applicants to any program who earned their degree in a country where English is not the official language.
