The MSE in Middle-Level Education at Arkansas State University is designed for individuals holding a current licensee to teach in any of grades K-12 that wish to increase their knowledge and classroom skills for working with middle grade students ages 10-14.

The Middle-Level Education program at Arkansas State University has an emphasis on research based practices and the alignment of instructional practices with current national curriculum initiatives. The program is aligned with the Association of Middle Level Educators standards. Currently the program is considered traditional and less than half the course work is delivered on-line. This program requires basic computer skills, access to high speed internet (dial-up internet is not adequate), and current editions of Microsoft Office.

Salary would depend on the district where the candidate works. Most school districts offer an increase for graduate work.
