Overview
The Accounting program at Arkansas State University prepares students for advancement beyond entry-level positions, and provides an excellent avenue to obtaining the 150 credit hours required to sit for the CPA exam.
Coursework Overview
For students with an undergraduate accounting degree from an U.S. AACSB accredited university, the program usually requires 30 hours of course work. Students holding an undergraduate business degree in another field from an AACSB accredited university are required to take the accounting prerequisites. Students whose undergraduate degrees are in a non-business related field normally will take 12 additional hours of foundation courses.

- All applicants are required to take the GMAT or GRE
- All applicants whose native language is not English must submit a score for the TOEFL or IELTS
- A minimum cumulative GPA of 2.75 or its equivalent on a 4.00 scale on all undergraduate coursework completed and a minimum GMAT® of 480 to achieve the formula score of 1030
- A minimum cumulative GPA of 2.75 or its equivalent on a 4.00 scale on all undergraduate coursework completed and a minimum GRE® composite of 300 (must have a minimum of 145 on the Verbal part and a minimum of 145 on the Quantitative part)
