The aims of the Control and Automation Engineering master program at Yildiz Technical University:

  • to provide students with the theoretical knowledge of different techniques in order to develop control systems; 
  • to equip the students with practical information and sufficient expertise for the evaluation and design of control systems, 
  • to prepare develop the analytic, critic, and problem solving skills of students, 
  • to prepare the students for their industrial career and advanced research tasks.

Program Outcomes

  • Be able to reach knowledge in-depth and broadly for scientific research in engineering area and be able to evaluate, interpret and apply this knowledge.
  • Be able to solve complicated problems independently by improving abilities on analysis, synthesis and criticism.
  • Be able to define, analyse and develop solution methods for control and automation problems belonging to various disciplines.
  • Be able to develop novel and original ideas and methods; be able to develop innovative solutions in system, process and algorithm designs.
  • Be able to design and implement analytical, model-based and experimental research; be able to analyze and interpret complex situations encountered in the process.
  • Be able to convey the processes and results of the studies in both national and international written or oral media.
  • Be able to combine the information from different areas with his/her own area and develop solution methods for different areas by taking part in multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Career

    Graduates of this master program are expected to build their career on consulting or research & development of Control & Automation systems in various sectors. They can work either in private or public companies in the field of automation or they can continue to their career in academia.
