About

The Master of Science in Wealth Management (MWM) from Singapore Management University incorporates a unique overseas experience in Switzerland and United States where you learn from top practitioners and academics, and be hosted by leading financial institutions who support this global programme.

MWM is a 12-month full-time programme designed to meet the needs of both aspiring and seasoned wealth managers who wish to deepen their skills, knowledge and expertise. The modular structure allows professionals to pursue a Master’s degree while working; and those without wealth management experience can embark on an internship to enhance their employability.The programme’s curriculum has also incorporated the relevant examination and certification for private banking.

Upon completion of MWM, the individual will receive a Master’s degree by SMU, complete Singapore’s Client Advisory and Competency Standards (CACS) Assessment. All this within just 12 months across three continents.

Career

Practising wealth managers, including relationship managers, product specialists, premier banking officers and independent financial advisers will find the programme useful in deepening or broadening their investment knowledge. The programme covers the whole value chain of wealth management and discusses strategic developments in the industry useful for career advancement. The programme coverage is over and above the CFA curriculum.

The programme will also greatly benefit investment managers who carry out asset allocations, risk management, security analysis and other related functions. This group of professionals would also include research analysts, managers of mutual funds and closed-end funds.

Academic Requirements

  • This programme accepts GRE® scores. However, it does not provide a recommended score range.

    The GRE® General Test is a widely administered admissions test that measures the skills needed in today's graduate and business school programs worldwide. The GRE® General Test contains three sections - Verbal Reasoning, Quantitative Reasoning, and Analytical Writing. Three scores are reported: a Verbal Reasoning score on a 130 - 170 score scale in one-point increments, a Quantitative Reasoning score on a 130 - 170 score scale in one-point increments, and an Analytical Writing score on a 0 - 6 score scale in half-point increments.
