Overview
This Art, Studio program is designed to meet your needs if you wish to pursue the study of art as an artist, designer, curator or critic, as a gallery or museum professional, or as a college-level instructor.
You can study painting, photography, interactive media design, digital media, graphic design, illustration, sculpture, printmaking, metalsmithing and jewelry, and interrelated media. The conceptual and ideological bases for artistic endeavors are explored through art history, graduate seminars and weekly critiques.
As a Towson University student in the program, you will create, focus, and excel in your craft. Expand your knowledge of art history, art criticism, art theory, aesthetics, and cultural context in general, and in relation to individual original artwork. Through your experience, you will further develop your research and writing skills.
Why Townson University?
Small classes taught by experienced faculty give you a real opportunity to interact with your instructors and fellow classmates.
