The Master of Communication (Professional) at Bond University is designed for international students who would like to develop or enhance their expertise in the rapidly expanding field of professional communication. As a student in the program, you will gain applied skills and knowledge in advertising, public relations, social media, human communication theory, relational communication, organisational communication and leadership, and communication research.
You will also conduct a research project of your own choosing and engage in a 20-week professional portfolio capstone of either 1) a work-integrated learning opportunity to participate in a field project and produce a report and showcase portfolio (eligibility criteria applies), or 2) undertake a supervised professional portfolio project. Throughout the program, you will develop theoretical knowledge and practical skills in professional communication to equip you for roles in the fields of advertising, public relations, social media, research, management and leadership, and internal communication in private, public, and non-profit organisations.
Professional outcomes
The Master of Communication (Professional) program will equip you with the skills to focus on interpersonal and group interactions in the workplace; communication challenges posed by an increasingly diverse and virtual workforce; planning for internal and external communication in private, public, and nonprofit organisations; media relations; and management of risks, among other topics.
