Overview

Programs of study include vocal music performance, instrumental music performance (woodwinds, brass, percussion, strings and keyboard). These programs are designed to increase expertise on a specific instrument, offering a strong grounding in music history, music theory and in the performance and pedagogy of the instrument.

  • Application Fee: $35.00 U.S.D. The application fee cannot be waived and is nonrefundable.
  • Official Transcripts: If transcripts are not originally provided by the institution in the English language, the indigenous language transcript should be submitted along with an English translation. The full English translation must include a certification from the translator verifying that the translation is complete and accurate and that they are qualified to translate the language to English.
  • Official Admission Test Scores: If test scores are required by a graduate program, students may upload a copy of their score report to their GradCAS application. Full admission will require that an official score report is sent to USD directly from the testing body.
  • Letters of Recommendation: Letters must be submitted directly by the recommenders through GradCAS.
