The Master of Archival and Historical Memory is a program which studies articulates theoretical, methodological and technological elements of Social Sciences and Information Sciences, to undertake actions to restore, preserve and disseminate the collective memory; making it an equity source. 


This master, identified as deepening, seeks to train postgraduates capable of generating solutions to social problems through the use of conceptual and technological tools that allow them to formulate, direct or participate in social projects of reconstruction of the collective memory.

The program includes the memory component, this element is not in any of the national postgraduate and only one Latin American. Although most programs this line evoke the archival function as part of the memory of a society, they have as part of its contents the study of the relationship between memory recovery as a process and generating different sources support can constitute files documents provide interpretation of the past, present and intergenerational dialogue to build the country's historical memory. 

Through interdisciplinary program manages to integrate both the knowledge of information technology, document management and information technology, articulated knowledge of the disciplines of the social sciences to provide a solid education, but mainly so that both in the field employment, research and construction of collective memory, professionals develop citizenship skills. 

As a Master of deepening type and not research possible contribute to the solution of social, such as conflict and post-conflict, gender, cultural, ethnic, local histories, social movements, business stories, school and youth issues, life stories , and thematic stories, and more.
