The Master of Arts in Counseling program is designed to prepare professionals in education and related careers to become professional counselors. Included are extensive practica and internship opportunities to work with a wide variety of clients in schools and other work settings. Graduates are prepared to begin the process for licensure as professional counselors. Current areas of concentration include school counseling and addiction counseling.

Applicants are required to have earned at least a baccalaureate degree from a regionally accredited U.S. college or university or a degree from a non-U.S. institution of higher education that is judged equivalent to a U.S. baccalaureate degree by the International Admissions ofce and have an undergraduate grade point average (GPA) of 3.00 (based on a 4-point scale) computed for all undergraduate credits from the applicant’s most recent baccalaureate degree.
