The Statistics program at the University of Toledo gives students training in methodology of applied statistics and also provides a solid foundation in statistical theory. About

Through the statistical consulting service students gain first hand experience assisting with the statistical analysis of problems that come from local institutions such as the UT College of Medicine and The UT Center for Applied Pharmacology, and from local industries. The program requires 32 semester hours of courses. 

Among the required courses are applications of statistics, statistical inference, linear statistical models, multivariate analysis, statistical computing, non-parametric statistics, categorical data analysis, statistical consulting, and sample survey methods and theory.

You need the following GPA score:

Required score: 2.7

Applicants for graduate programs must have the equivalent of a bachelor’s degree with a minimum GPA equivalent to 2.7 on a US 4.0 grading scale. Admitted applicants typically have an undergraduate GPA of or better on a 4.0 scale. No exam grade should be lower than 4.5 (European grade scale) or D (American grade scale).

Your GPA (Grade Point Average) is calculated using the grades that you received in each course, and is determined by the points assigned to each grade (e.g. for the US grading scale from A-F).

General Requirements

  • Four-year Bachelor’s Degree from a regionally accredited college or university
  • GPA on all undergraduate work are required to submit GRE scores.
  • The College of Graduate Studies requires official transcripts from all universities/colleges you are currently attending or have attended. Official transcripts are those sent directly from the institution to the College of Graduate Studies. Transcripts not received directly from the institution will be considered unofficial. 
  • In addition to the official, final transcripts, you must also provide official certified, or attested copies of all graduation certificates, diplomas or degree certificates needed to fulfill your admission.
