The RN Mobility RN to BSN Plan for registered nurses (RNs) provides an opportunity for advanced placement in nursing studies for individuals with previous nursing knowledge and/or experience

About

The RN Mobility patway to BSN is open to any student who has submitted evidence of successful completion of an accredited diploma or associate degree nursing program and who is licensed to practice as an RN in the state in which the student will do their student practicum.

Upon admission to the School of Nursing, RNs can earn their BSN in two semesters if they enter as a full time student; however, the curriculum plan can be individualized for students who choose to decelerate their pace due to other commitments. A plan of 3 to 5 semesters is recommended.

The RN Mobility RN to MSN Plan (Second Degree) option is an alternate pathway into the existing Master’s in Nursing (MSN) degree for applicants who have a bachelor’s degree in a field other than nursing, who are currently licensed registered nurses, and who seek MSN preparation.

The RN to MSN option is available to ADN graduates, and is specifically designed for RNs who hold a bachelor’s degree in a field other than nursing and declare their intention to obtain an MSN degree. The RN-MSN curriculum prepares nurses for advanced nursing practice and generalist practice

Programme Structure

Graduates employ abilities and skills learned in the MSN to form collaborative partnerships; assume leadership roles in clinical practice, nursing administration, nursing education and nursing informatics; interpret clinical and management-related research; and make data-driven decisions to enhance the utilization of resources.
