The Computer Science - Information Security graduate program in computer science offered by James Madison University prepares highly skilled professionals with advanced expertise in creating and maintaining secure and reliable computing systems.
This James Madison University concentration is offered in a remote, electronic distance-learning format that, while satisfying all requirements for the Master of Science program, is especially appropriate for people with professional interests in information security.
Students completing this concentration will also receive two NSA approved certificates: Information Systems Security (INFOSEC) Professionals and Information Systems Security Officers.

Typically, candidates have prior degrees in Computer Science or ample work experience in the field. Although programming is not used extensively, students are required to write programs in some courses. In order to succeed in the program, candidates must have skills in the following areas:
