About

Graduate study in mathematics and computational science deepens your understanding of proofs (the beauty) and your ability to model complex phenomena (the impact).

Overview

A mathematician’s distinctive approach to problem solving paired with a scientist’s eye for appropriate models will make you a highly sought after individual in many employment sectors.

Central Focus of our Curricula.

Most of our faculty’s work revolves around computational modeling.

Programme Structure

  • We use numerical methods in Partial Differential Equations, Linear Algebra and Optimization to, for example, measure the efficacy of oil recovery, aid medicine and law enforcement through image enhancement, improve nanoscale measurement by modeling light diffraction.
  • We use Computational Algebra to improve symbolic computation.
  • We use Computational Discrete Mathematics to explore the structure of graphs and ordered sets.
