The clinical health psychology training concentration is designed to prepare doctoral students for careers as scientists and scientist-practitioners in the areas of health psychology and behavioral medicine

Overview

In addition to the graduate core curriculum and the clinical psychology core curriculum, students specializing in clinical health psychology will have the opportunity to pursue coursework and practical training experiences that will prepare them to work in academic/medical settings. The didactic and practical training experiences focus on the integration of psychosocial and biomedical processes. Complementing the core faculty in the clinical health psychology training concentration, students will also be trained by practicing health psychologists and physicians who are associate faculty members in our training.

  • Applicant data sheet and statement of purpose
  • One transcript for each U.S. or international institution of higher education
  • Admissions test scores less than five years old 
  • The application fee is $65 for U.S. citizens and permanent residents and $80 for international applicants
  • Three letters of recommendation. 
  • Additional application materials (e.g., portfolios, writing samples, responses to essay questions, etc.) required by individual departments
  • International applicants must submit one certified copy in the native language along with certified precise word-for-word English translations of all transcripts, diplomas, and certificates of degree.
