Overview
Students can have a wide range of learning, mental, emotional, and physical disabilities. Teachers make sure that lessons and teaching strategies are designed to meet individual needs. The graduate program in Special Education at Middle Tennessee State University helps current teachers learn more about the field of special education and add-on their special education endorsement in Comprehensive (K-12) or Interventionist (K-8 or 6-12).
Individuals who are not licensed to teach may obtain an initial teaching license in Special Education, Interventionist (K-8 or 6-12), while earning a master' s degree and learning how to best support students with high incidence or mild/moderate disabilities.
