Illinois Tech’s Master of Engineering in Structural Engineering at the Illinois Institute of Technology provides students with the advanced knowledge needed to design the built environment. 

Overview

Students learn how buildings and bridges may be designed to resist the forces imposed upon them by external loads, gravity, wind, and earthquakes. Up-to-date, computer-aided design techniques and the latest national building codes dealing with steel, reinforced concrete, pre-stressed concrete, and masonry structures are treated.Coursework includes topics in advanced structural theory and design, advanced structural analysis, and advanced reinforced concrete.

  • GMAT or GRE is required: GRE/GMAT is required, apart from Master of Public Administration.
