The focus of the Elementary Education program at University of Nevada, Reno is on teacher leadership. Emphases for the MS include math education, science education to STEM (science, technology, engineering, math) education. Thesis and non-thesis options are available.

- Two letters of recommendation (will accept the graduate school on-line recommendations). At least one recommendation must be from a supervisor who has directly observed the applicant's work with children. The other recommendation may be from an employer who has directly supervised the applicant's work experiences. Recommendations should provide detailed descriptions of professional qualities and potential for teaching.
- Copy of teaching license (K-8) if applicable.
- If your GPA is below 2.75, a copy of your GRE scores from the past 5 years.
- A sample of scholarly writing such as an essay or research paper.
