The EIT Data Science program is offered by Eindhoven University of Technology (TU/e).Digital Science at EIT Digital
Technological and societal changes led to an explosion of digitally available data. Exploiting the available data to its fullest extent, in order to improve decision making, increase productivity, and deepen our understanding of scientific questions, is one of today's major challenges. Data science is an emerging discipline that aims to address this challenge. As technologies in data science mature, so too will our ability to insightfully arrive at accurate and timely solutions to today’s burgeoning questions. However, this will require Data Scientists to provide the required expertise to make this vision come to fruition.Research profile
The design of innovative software and the skill of (mathematical) modeling form the basis of technological and industrial progress. Our computer scientists focus in particular on modeling and analyzing business processes. They enjoy an outstanding reputation, particularly in relation to process mining: a means of discovering process models and linking them to reality.
This special Master's track is formally a track of the Master's program Computer Science and Engineering. The Master's program Computer Science and Engineering is accredited by NVAO (Nederlands-Vlaamse Accreditatieorganisatie), the Accreditation Organization of the Netherlands and Flanders.
The EIT Digital technical programs involve a 2-year master program (120 ECTS) that includes a common technical competence base, which constitutes the curriculum for the first study year, and a specialization that will be the starting point for the thesis work during the second year. In all, this compiles 90 ECTS. In addition, a minor in Innovation & Entrepreneurship (I&E) will provide you with valuable knowledge on how to drive your innovations to the market. Note that it is compulsory for students that the first year program at the entry point university is followed by a second year program at a different university (exit point university). The students will obtain a degree of both the entry and exit university.
