The Teaching - Elementary program at Wayne State University is designed to provide professional preparation for holders of baccalaureate degrees in areas other than education and who seek teacher certification.

Students pursue teacher certification while earning credits toward the Teaching - Elementary degree at Wayne State University.  The master’s degree may be completed after certification, but degree requirements must be completed within 6 years of the time the first course in the program is completed.
