Students in the MS in Animals and Public Policy (MAPP) program develop research, analytical, and communications skills that empower them to promote the status and welfare of animals and deepen public understanding of the role of animals in society.

Overview

The program seeks students of diverse academic, career, and professional experiences who share an interest in human-animal relationships. Enrolling students may be looking to begin a career related to animals, chart a new direction or deepen their knowledge in their current careers, or pursue another advanced degree, such as the DVM, Law, or PhD.

MAPP graduates successfully pursue careers in policy-making, law-enforcement, advocacy, public education, research, animal shelter management, and applied animal behavior. They also have outstanding success obtaining advanced training in PhD programs, law, and veterinary medicine.

Academic Requirements

  • This programme accepts GRE® scores. However, it does not provide a recommended score range.

    The GRE® General Test is a widely administered admissions test that measures the skills needed in today's graduate and business school programs worldwide. The GRE® General Test contains three sections - Verbal Reasoning, Quantitative Reasoning, and Analytical Writing. Three scores are reported: a Verbal Reasoning score on a 130 - 170 score scale in one-point increments, a Quantitative Reasoning score on a 130 - 170 score scale in one-point increments, and an Analytical Writing score on a 0 - 6 score scale in half-point increments.
