The mission of the M.A./Ph.D. concentration in History and Ethnography of Religions (HER) at Florida State University is to provide interdisciplinary training in the study of religion and in the historical and anthropological study of specific religious traditions covered by HER faculty.

Learning outcomes

The study of History and Ethnography of Religions at Florida State University is located squarely in the tradition of humanities scholarship. 

We offer an undergraduate major and minor; an MA in religion; and the Ph.D. in religion. 

Our eighteen faculty represent a wide range of research orientations and our programs operate in close collaboration with several other departments and programs at the University.
