Overview
The Pure Mathematics Program at Florida State University is designed to provide both a solid preparation in core areas of pure mathematics (algebra, real and complex analysis, and geometry/topology), and specific expertise in one or more areas of active research.
Learning outcomes
All students enrolled in the pure math graduate program who have taken 36 graduate credit hours of graduate courses, and have passed Parts I and II of the four core course sequences are eligible for a masters degree. This includes students who are intending to continue on as a doctoral candidate as well as students who opt to leave the program with a masters.
