Overview
The Italian division at Florida State University offers a comprehensive undergraduate program (major and minor) in Italian language and/or literature as well as a teacher certification and possibility of a major with a concentration in business.
Learning outcomes
Students in the Italian division can also pursue an M.A. in Italian studies, which consists of an interdisciplinary program with core courses in Italian correlated with graduate courses from related area(s) of interest. Through the Winthrop-King Bequest, the division is also able to offer a limited number of undergraduates the opportunity to study in Italy in the summer.

General requirements
- Baccalaureate or equivalent, complete and acceptable academic transcripts ("good standing"); GRE score ( Verbal and Quantitative ); GPA (of last two baccalaureate years) of at least 3.00 on a 4-point system.
- Departmental approval, consisting of the collective appraisal of members of the Italian Division submitted for appropriate action to the Chair of the Department of Modern Languages and Linguistics. Foreign nationals must pass the TOEFL English language test with a minimum score of 550;
- Please note that the GRE score is one element of your application and the program views the entire file holistically in making a determination of admission.
