Overview
EPFL is a leading center for mathematical education and research. It compromises three institutes and a research center devoted to the major areas of pure and applied Mathematics. The research program in mathematical sciences has a strong international reputation and collaborations between research groups and other universities offer interesting interdisciplinary challenges.
The students learn how to approach diverse modeling problems and gain hands-on experience in an industrial setting during the internship.

The Master of Science in Applied Mathematics from Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Lausanne is also an excellent foundation for students planning to follow a PhD program in applied mathematics, financial mathematics or statistics.
