- A statement of purpose that explains why they are interested in the program and how they expect to benefit professionally from it.
- A current resume.
- Two letters of recommendation sent directly by professional or academic references.
- Official transcripts of undergraduate coursework (and any previous graduate coursework) and the degree(s) conferred.

- Transcript Evaluation
- A writing sample.
- Results of the Graduate Record Exam (GRE) or GMAT taken within the previous five years and sent directly from the testing service. (The GRE or GMAT is waived for applicants with an undergraduate GPA of 3.2 or better or five or more years of relevant professional experience, and for current undergraduate students in, and degree-holding alumni of, Loyola University Chicago’s School of Communication).
