Program Highlights

The MAcc is a 30-semester-hour program designed for applicants with an undergraduate degree in accounting. Tracks include audit, tax, and advisory.

As a professional school in a major public research university, we are committed to teaching, research, and service that advances the accounting discipline and prepares future leaders for business and academia.

The Master of Accounting (MAcc) degree at the University of Georgia prepares students for careers in the profession as well as satisfying eligibility requirements for the Certified Public Accountant’s Examination (CPA Exam) in the State of Georgia. The MAcc allows students to continue their studies in the accounting area, specializing in either the Audit/Systems field or in the Taxation field. Also available for qualified UGA BBA-Accounting students is the Five-Year (BBA/MAcc) Program. This is an “early enrollment” program available only to currently enrolled UGA accounting majors that allows admission during the student’s senior year. The student completes the BBA and MAcc degree requirements simultaneously.

Officially accredited/recognized by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges, University of Georgia (UGA) is a very large (enrollment range: 35,000-39,999 students) coeducational higher education institution.

Programme Structure
