Forming Managers for Fashion & Design
We designed this master program moved by the intent to educate talented young people about the culture of result-oriented creativity.Every day, fashion and design-based companies have to solve the trade-off and potential tensions between management roles and creative people responsible for style and communication. Therefore, ad-hoc management approaches are needed.
Participants are prepared for filling specific professional roles such as business unit/brand manager, licensing manager, area manager, retail manager, product manager, merchandiser, digital strategists, communication manager, customer relationship manager, and supply chain manager. Yet, all roles will share a common understanding and vision about the culture of excellence, a result-oriented creativity, and sensitivity for aesthetics and market trends.Managerial tools (for instance, related to product development, brand identity and retail management) used in fashion and design-based companies can also be successfully applied to other sectors and industries.
As a future manager within fashion, luxury and design-based companies, Milano gives you better opportunities in these industrial fields than anywhere else. The Italian leadership position is grounded in a worldwide well-recognized unique taste and sensitivity for beauty, but it is also triggered by the exclusive capability of an exceptional industrial pipeline, which conceives and carries out very creative projects. "Industrialisation of creativity" or a "market-oriented craftsmanship" has always been at the roots of the Italian system competitive advantage at an international level. The unique asset of MAFED is to allow its participants to immerse themselves within this culture of excellence for one year, thanks to selected company visits, the contribution by outstanding guest speakers, the discussion of real case histories, and the participation in ambitious field projects.
