About

The Master of Arts in English with Concentration in Literature develops professional skills, ensures breadth of knowledge, and provides opportunities for specialization. Broader relationships are studied in the survey, period, and genre courses; narrower, deeper investigations are undertaken in other seminars. It measures the candidate’s ability to isolate and thoroughly examine a particular literary problem, theme, or idea.
