  • A minimum of 24 semester hours in French above the 204 level in the undergraduate program.
  • A minimum of Advanced Low Proficiency (according to ACTFL Guidelines). The department may request an Oral Proficiency Interview. An interview with the Director of Graduate Studies may be required.
  • Applicants who have not taken Phonetics will be required to take a remedial prerequisite or co-requisite course such as FRE 416 (not included in hours required for the degree).
