Overview
Key facts
Depending on the career objectives of the student, the Woodruff School may encourage a thesis as part of the Master of Science in Nuclear Engineering program. Nuclear and radiological engineering students must earn a graduate grade-point average of at least 3.0 and satisfy all remaining requirements to be certified for the master's degree.
The programs offered by Georgia Institute of Technology (Georgia Tech) in engineering are designed to provide a fundamental understanding of the engineering sciences (which are based on mathematics and the natural sciences), of the basic concepts of the humanities and social sciences, and an understanding of the manner in which these elements are interwoven in engineering practice. Each curriculum provides enough flexibility through elective course opportunities to permit a certain amount of program individualism while meeting basic requirements.
