Description
Covers a wide range of disciplines, including biomolecular sciences, genetics, developmental biology, cell biology, biochemistry, microbiology, animal sciences, plant sciences, neurobiology and psychology, human diet and health, biomaterials science, soil science and related areas of engineering.

These scholarships include tuition fees (UK level tuition fees only but some bursaries are available to cover international fees also), a Research Council stipend (2023/24 rate £18,622) and research training funds.
Eligibility
- Both home and international students are eligible for the full award funding (stipend to support living costs and fees at research institutions UK rate) but the number of international studentships awarded per cohort is capped by UKRI at 30% per cohort.

- Candidates should have a BSc/MSci 2:1 and/or Masters (MSc or MRes) at Merit/Distinction level (>60%) and/or evidence of significant relevant professional experience equivalent to Masters level.
- SoCoBio welcomes applications from candidates with sustained experience beyond their undergraduate degree level that is specifically relevant to biosciences research. This includes students with degrees in science or engineering-disciplines outside of biology.
